In the world of computers, there are several important components that support its use. Starting from, CPU, GPU, RAM, Keyboard, and others.

Monitor is the most important screen in the computer. There are many types of monitors and different capabilities. Before you buy a monitor, it would be nice to understand from the three monitors that I'm going to explain.

Here are 3 types, namely: Twisted Nematic Monitor, Vertical Alignment and In Plane Switching (IPS). The three monitors are both monitors, but have different capabilities. Here's the explanation.

3 Types of Monitor;

  • Twisted Nematic panel (TN)

Twisted Nematic is the most widely used panel technology in monitor manufacturing. The advantage of this monitor is that the panel is cheap and offers the fastest response time, making it the most perfect for gaming, especially FPS games.

The disadvantages of this monitor are usually color accuracy, contrast ratio and viewing angle compared to other panels. (This varies for each monitor brand).

  • Vertical Allignment panel (VA)

Vertical Alignment is arguably a monitor with panel technology that is neither the best nor the worst. This panel offers better color reproduction and viewing angles than the TN panel, but the response from this monitor is very slow.

  • In Plane Switching panel (IPS)

The last one is In Plane Switching panel. IPS is a technology that has advantages in terms of color quality, image, viewing angles and color accuracy. This screen is very suitable for graphic design, because the colors produced are consistent and accurate. Unfortunately, this panel has a very long response time so it is not suitable for gaming.

That's all from the explanation of these three monitors, suitable to be used as a reference for those of you who are looking to buy a monitor as needed.

Thank you.
